Aligned Action

Diary of a Masterful Future in Motion

Entry 2: Give, Then Gather.

Come sit with me for a minute. It's the end of October, and I'm already thinking about January.

Not because I'm in a rush to get there. Because I know what happens if we're not ready for it.

You know the feeling. The holidays wind down, the new year starts, and the business goes quiet. Like you have to start the engine from cold, by yourself, with nobody else in the car.

I don't want that for my team. I don't want any of my agents walking into January wondering what to do first.

So right now, I'm in planning mode for 2027. Not just for me. For us. I'm building the structure now, so when January gets here, my agents already know where they're going and they aren't going alone.

I'm building it around three anchors. And I'm building them with my team, and for my team.

The first is our rhythm of meetings and training. When we meet, how often, what we're learning, and who it's for. A rhythm my agents can count on, so nobody is guessing what's next or wondering if they missed something. You know when we meet. You know when we train. You can plan your own business around it.

The second is systems that create leverage. Systems that do the heavy lifting, so my agents aren't starting from scratch every time. When the system carries the routine work, your time goes to people, not to remembering what comes next.

The third is community. Not just contacting our past clients, but bringing them together. People who already trusted us, in the same room, with the agents who helped them. When our clients feel like they belong to something, they don't just remember us. They know they're still part of something after the keys are handed over.

That's what I want being on this team to feel like. Not a logo on your sign. A structure under your feet.

Here's how it fits together.

In 2026, we started with gifts. An unexpected gift at an unexpected time. No reason, no ask. Just a way to say, I'm still thinking of you.

Give, then gather.

Now I want to create more of a community. The gift says, I remember you. The gathering says, you belong here. It's not about one more touchpoint. It's about bringing people together who already share something: they trusted us with one of the biggest moves of their lives.

I love that, because neither one is a pitch. It's just showing up for the people who already showed up for us.

And for my agents, it means something else too. You're not inventing your own client care from scratch. There's a rhythm to step into. A reason to reach out. A room to invite people into. You get to show up for your people with a team behind you.

My aligned action this week was event cadence.

Not the whole 2027 plan. One piece. I sat down and worked out the rhythm, so the rest of the plan has something to stand on, and so my team has something they can see and count on.

That's the thing about aligned action. You don't have to build the whole future in one night. You pick the one step that matches where you're going, and you take it.

So here's my question for you today.

If January came tomorrow, what would your business look like?

Would it start warm or cold? Would you know who you're calling first? Would there be a rhythm to step into, or would you be building it from nothing, on your own?

If the honest answer is cold and alone, that's not failure. That's information.

Pick one thing you could put in place this week so your January starts warm. A date on the calendar. A list of past clients you haven't called. One small way to say thank you.

Pick one. Do it this week.

I see you. I am you.

Leave a comment and tell me: what does your January look like right now?
